Storyline
Luis opens the Fix-It Shop and explains the concept of a "surprise" to Poco Loco, who amusingly pops up everywhere. Count von Count and the Countess perform a song, while Big Bird showcases a new invention that counts to the number of the day, leading to a chaotic burst of surprises when they reach nine. Special guest Richard Pryor shares strawberries with a child, and Leslie Mostly interviews Grover about his job as a waiter. Throughout the episode, various cartoons and short films highlight letters Y and W, and concepts of same and different. The Anything Muppets explore surprising with cakes and learning Spanish phrases. The episode concludes with Luis and Poco Loco announcing the sponsors, with Linda and Bob holding up the iconic Sesame Street signs.
