Sienna meets Nico at the police station, and there’s a flashback to Nancy and Darren taking a strand of hair from a hairbrush in Maxine’s flat to plant on Patrick, but does the hairbrush belong to Sienna, Maxine or Nico?

We will see through Maxine’s POV that DS Armstrong is certain she is responsible for Patrick’s death when he interrogates her at the police station. But when she keels over and faints during questioning, she is taken into hospital and Tegan questions whether she might be pregnant. Maxine confides in Adam, and she decides to take a pregnancy test but who would be the baby’s daddy, Adam or big baddie Warren? When Warren catches wind that Maxine might be preggers, he rushes to confront her and ends up in a tussle with Adam. Maxine decides to hand herself in, but when DS Armstrong shows her a brooch that was found in the woods she is pushed to admit who else was involved.

When we are given Darren and Nancy’s perspective, we see that Jack is suspicious Darren might be involved with Patrick’s death, and his fears are confirmed when DS Armstrong arrives to question him. At school, Nancy can’t control herself and panics when she can’t seem to stop her leg from trembling. Louis takes her to the hospital where she confesses that something might be seriously wrong with her health. Back at the Osbornes’, Darren and Jack discover Maxine’s pregnancy test, but think it belongs to Nancy. With his family’s best interests at heart, Darren calls DS Armstrong and prepares to tell him the truth, while Nancy has a light-bulb moment (DING!) and confronts Nico about the night Patrick died.

Nico becomes the prime suspect when Armstrong and Ryan find an unseen video clip on Patrick’s memory stick. Louis suggests that Simone should be Nico’s solicitor, but Nico begs Peri to run away with her. Peri becomes suspicious when Tom, who is still sick, mentions the aftershave that she got him, and Nico prepares to tell Peri the whole truth about Patrick…

Warren is shocked to find out that Sienna was prepared to help Patrick die, while Ryan explains that he has a link to Warren’s past - Joel - and can use him to get a confession. Warren refuses to listen to Grace as she rants about Sienna’s past, and when Darren tells Warren that Patrick used to abuse Sienna, Warren suggests to Sienna that they run away together.

Sienna flees Patrick’s memorial school fundraiser when the police arrive to ask questions. Leela finds her in the woods and is conflicted when Sienna asks her to help get her away from ‘Oaks. Sienna eventually goes to the police station, and begins being questioned by DS Armstrong… but she is then floored by new evidence.

Mac dresses The Dog as Neeta’s ideal wedding venue and proposes to her there and then. (Nothing like a last minute wedding, eh?) Despite all they’ve been though, she says yes, but their happy day is brought crashing down when heartbroken Marnie lashes out and ruins the decorations. Over at the Osbornes', Jade finds a lump when she's getting ready for the wedding and Frankie takes her straight to the hospital. When she turns up at The Dog looking beautiful, Alfie decides to seize the day and proposes, so Nathan ‘marries’ them on the spot. <3 Worried about how much time they have left together, Jalfie vow to live 50 years-worth of marriage right now… starting off with an improvised first home and a very sandy ‘honeymoon’.

Jesse and Adam are shocked to discover that their mum Tracey has arrived in the village and is on the run from the bailiffs. The boys offer to help her out, but the idea of Tracey sticking around doesn’t tickle Grace’s fancy, so she writes a cheque and tells her to leave. With both mother and daughter acting strange… it seems the two are hiding something from the boys.

Joe gives Joanne a key to the house, which makes things just a little bit awkward when Mercedes makes a return. Pushed into a corner, Joe comes to a decision about who he really wants to be with.

Elsewhere, Amy gets a job at The Bean, while Ryan’s increasingly angry at how Leah is wrapping her mum around her little finger. When talk turns to Ste, Ryan hits boiling point.

Amy throws Ryan out of the house, and when Goldie causes trouble in the village, police duties bring him to the McQueens’… where Mercedes is by herself. There’s sexual chemistry between the pair and they end up kissing. The pressure is mounting for the Osbornes and Nancy tells Darren she wants her old life back. Meanwhile, OB reveals to Jack that Eva is Billy’s daughter, but Nancy is adamant that they’re going home, despite the danger that awaits.

Flashback to sixteen year old Billy and fifteen year old Jack getting ready to hit the town on New Year’s Eve, despite their mother trying to protest. Young Billy and Jack head out to teach someone a lesson, but good-guy Jack is hesitant. In the present day, Jack is gutted when the Osbornes return to Hollyoaks instead of fleeing to Ireland. He leaves a note for them and goes to The Loft, but Eva is there enjoying her New Year’s Eve. What will happen when the pair come face to face?! Meanwhile, Harry is planning to propose to Ste, but his plans are sabotaged when he gets on the wrong side of Prince and Hunter.
