Diego quickly leaves Alcazar, who tells Courtney he'll take responsibility for his son from now on. Alcazar confesses to Lois that he's confused about how to proceed with Diego. Diego overhears Alcazar talking to Maria and finds out that Maria is his mother, not his sister. Sonny and Carly almost share a New Year's kiss but pull back. Sonny tells Ric and a drunken Alexis that Kristina should stay the night at the penthouse.

Ric and Alexis make plans to go skiing with Kristina. Alexis simply will not allow Sonny to take Kristina to his island for a vacation with Michael and Morgan. Jordan rejects Sonny's invitation to go to the island with his children. Diego approaches Maria about being his mother. Eduardo threatens Maria with more bodily harm. Diego beats him up and is arrested.

Alexis lies to Sonny, saying Kristina has an interview at an exclusive pre-school so that Sonny can't take Kristina on vacation with him and the boys. Sonny beats Alexis at her own game and plans to take Kristina to the island. Ric would prefer that Alexis let him handle Sonny. Sam senses Jason is hesitant to name the baby because he fears they'll lose her eventually.

Carly tells Jason not to be afraid of getting so attached to Hope. Jason and Sam kiss. Sonny purchases the house Ric wanted to buy. Someone attacks Jordan. Diego is still angry at Courtney. Brook sneaks behind Diego's back and plans for him to come face to face with Alcazar. Jax and Courtney's carefree afternoon hits a snag.

Courtney shows up and keeps Jason and Sam from making love for the first time. Bridget appears at Sam's door. Diego, Maria and Alcazar come to an understanding. Diego says he'll leave Port Charles with Maria but assures Brook Lynn that he'll return one day. A mysterious person makes copies of the keys to Sonny's new estate. Carly and Alcazar get trapped in an elevator. Emily makes a big deal over Connor's kiss.

Courtney and Jax bicker over her decision to let Bridget move in with her. Meanwhile, Bridget tells Sam she isn't going to take back her baby. Sam can't believe that Courtney has invited Bridget to live with her. Sam tells Jason that Courtney thinks Bridget should take her baby back because it's what keeps Sam and Jason together. Alexis plans a conjugal visit for Emily and Nikolas. Emily lets Nikolas know about the plan to draw Helena out of hiding.

Jason tells Sam that he isn't in love with Courtney and that he's happy he's with Sam. A scantily clad Bridget "accidentally" bumps into Jax after Courtney leaves. Carly notifies Courtney that Bridget is going to be trouble. Bridget is touched by Courtney's faith in her. Connor convinces Helena that he's Nikolas. Helena convinces Connor that she's going to kill Emily.

Sam is happy that he, Jason, and Hope have become a family. Courtney is heartbroken when she sees that Sam and Jason are now a committed couple raising a child together. Carly consoles Courtney. Carly recommends to Alcazar that he forge a relationship with Diego. Durant cautions Steven that Alcazar was spending time with Carly. He then tries to convince Steven to send Alcazar to prison for Mary's murder. Durant informs Carly that Steven has evidence that Alcazar killed Mary.

Durant makes his move against Alcazar and Steven. The mysterious man continues to work at Sonny's house and makes contact with his associate. Helena is surprised when she makes her move against Emily, who's in danger. Sonny is surprised when Jordan shows up at the island.

Bridget's announcement shocks Courtney. Jason wants to ask Sam an important question. Helena's plans for Emily go amiss. Luke is going to deal with Helena once and for all. Carly turns to her old tricks to help Steven and Alcazar. Alexis is afraid that Kristina is getting too close to Sonny's family. Ric and Alexis remain separated.

Sam agrees to marry Jason after he says he loves her. Meanwhile, Bridget informs Courtney that she wants her baby back from Sam and Jason and plans to stop the adoption. Courtney tells Jason and Sam of Bridget's decision. Sam puts the blame on Courtney for Bridget's reversal. Jason tells Sam they'll fight to keep baby Hope. Carly assures Alcazar that they have no future together but he thinks otherwise.

Emily assures Connor that she would never lean on him even if Nikolas were to spend the rest of his life in prison. Skye shows Emily a romantic letter from Nikolas. Connor reads Nikolas' letter and pictures himself as Nikolas. Connor stands over Emily as she sleeps. Courtney can't believe that Jason has proposed to Sam. Courtney denies that she's responsible for Bridget wanting her baby back.

Carly attempts to convince Sam that Courtney would never use Hope to break up Sam and Jason. Jason accepts Courtney's apology for geting angry at Sam. Alcazar convinces Bridget to let Jason and Sam adopt Hope, but Courtney unknowingly sabotages the progress Alcazar made with Bridget. Jason tells Sam that Courtney will help them keep Hope. Jordan informs Jason and Sam that a custody hearing will be held the next day.

Carly becomes increasingly suspicious of Durant. A mysterious person is secretly watching Kristina. Someone from Bridget's past attepts to claim baby Hope. Connor scares Emily when he becomes aggressive towards her.

Emily attempts to rein in an out of control Connor. The mysterious person spies on Sonny and his family from a secret surveillance room. Courtney, Jason, and Sam decide what to do about baby Hope. Brook Lynn and Diego are reunited.

Helena sees Emily shoot and kill Connor and then mistakenly thinks Emily killed Nikolas. Helena is close to killing Emily when Lucky and Elizabeth arrive. Lucky talks Elizabeth and Emily into covering up Connor's death. They then bury his body in the woods. Emily is scarred by memories of the rape. Elizabeth asks Emily if it was Connor who raped her. Sam is angry at Jason for not fighting to keep Hope.

Carly suggests that Courtney try to get back together with Jason, just as Sonny asks Jason if he wants to be with Sam or Courtney. Courtney is close to telling Jason how she feels about him when he suddenly tells her he's in love with Sam. Sam asks for Sonny's help in getting Hope back, but quickly changes her mind. The mysterious person and her assistant watch Kristina and Michael.

Helena imprisons Emily in the Cassadine crypt, intending that she die a slow death. Emily steals a cell phone from one of Helena's henchmen and contacts Mac, but the connection is bad. Lucky assumes full responsibility for burying Connor's body in the woods. Lucky hurries into the crypt as Helena is about to shoot Emily. Lucky blocks Emily as Helena fires her gun.

Skye rescues Emily and Lucky but Helena gets away. Lucky is sped to the hospital. Jason finds out that Sam never left town like she she had. The mysterious person plans to make a move against Sonny. Diego rejects Alcazar and Carly fights her feelings for Alcazar.

Sam keeps pushing Jason away and later sneaks into Sonny's. Carly explains to Alcazar why they can't be together. Carly tells Diego to give Alcazar a chance. The mysterious woman sets her plan in motion. Lucky's condition gets worse. Emily remains haunted by the rape.

Sonny and Jason leap to action after they find out Kristina has been kidnapped. Alexis strikes at Sonny, whom he blames for Kristina's kidnapping. Ric and Sonny agree not to involve the police at this time. Sam packs items in a suitcase for a little girl. He also has the money she stole from the safe in Sonny's bedroom. Carly reveals to Sonny that Sam didn't leave Port Charles.

The mysterious woman and her assistant monitor the activity at Sonny's house as Kristina plays in the background. Sonny finds out his house has been bugged with hidden cameras and appeals to the kidnapper to return Kristina. Sonny and Alexis think Sam might have kidnapped Kristina. Jason stands by Sam, who calls and asks him for help. Ric asks Ned not to call the police because he's afraid Alexis may have kidnapped Kristina herself.

Jason tells Sonny and Alexis that Sam didn't kidnap Kristina. Sam hangs up on Jason before telling him what kind of trouble she's in. Ric reports the kidnapping to the police after he senses that Alexis is innocent. Steven uncovers DNA evidence that places Sam in Sonny's bedroom. Sam is placed under arrest as she's about to leave town. While comatose, Lucky has a stroke and needs to be placed on a respirator.

Sam admits to Jason that she broke into Sonny's house to steal the money she needed for an illegal adoption. Jason suspects Sam, and someone is stalking Sonny. AJ gets ahold of Skye, who later tells Courtney some shocking news. Emily is stuck in denial over the rape. Luke shows up at the hospital. Jason thinks that Sam is innocent of kidnapping Kristina, despite the evidence against her.

Sam and a badly wounded Jason make their way back to Jason's hideout. Sam tells Jason she loves him, and disguised as a nurse, Sam asks Monica to help Jason. Reese arrests Sonny as she explains her theory that he's behind Kristina's kidnapping.

Durant attempts to manipulate Sonny's situation to his advantage. At Sonny's request, Carly says she'll make a genuine effort to have a relationship with Durant, who then drops the charges against Sonny. Sonny is sure Sam didn't kidnap Kristina but Alexis is not convinced. When she's alone, Alexis breaks down. Reese informs Sonny she must know everything about him in order to find the kidnapper. Faith craves revenge against Sonny, Alexis, and Ric.

Sonny gets angry when Alan tells Michael about AJ's death and claims that AJ was Michael's real father. Reese realizes that Sonny's children are his main weakness. Carly and Reese fight. Sonny shows up to see Jason and Sam. Reese bursts into the room with her gun aimed at Sam, Jason and Sonny. Mac asks Courtney about AJ's murder. Alan says Courtney killed AJ and he vows to make her pay.

Sonny and Reese come begin to understand each other. Alexis traps Sam in a stairwell at the hospital but then falls. Faith places Jason in danger. Courtney tells the Quartermaines that she didn't kill AJ. Courtney is still a suspect in AJ's murder. Brook Lynn and Diego try to see each other despite their parents objections.

Faith accidentally gives a clue as to Kristina's whereabouts. Sonny receives a photo of Kristina and instructions from Faith. Before he takes the medicine back to Jason, Sam gets help for an unconscious Alexis. Skye asks Justus for help after arguing with Luke about Lucky. Courtney finds out who killed AJ. Alexis receives some surprising news.

Faith instructs Sonny to be in the park alone at midnight. Sonny suspects the kidnapper has a personal vendetta against him. Jason and Sam locate the nursery where Kristina had been kept. After he collapses, Sam has Jason taken to the hospital. Alexis overhears Sonny explaining to Ric the reason he's going to do exactly what the kidnapper demands. Reese secretly watches Sonny in the park.

Alan, fueled by grief and guilt, reprimands the Quartermaines for the way they treated AJ while they gather for his memorial service. Courtney attends the memorial and is shocked that Rachel is there. Courtney aims her gun at Rachel. Jax locates a bullet in Courtney's loft. Skye offers a heartfelt eulogy for AJ. Durant strongly suggests that Reese take advantage of her opportunity and bring Sonny down. She refuses and makes it clear that her primary goal is finding Kristina.

Reese encourages Sonny to work with her so that Kristina can be brought home safely. Faith disguises her voice and contacts Sonny with her ransom demands. Carly tells Jason that Sonny is on the verge of a breakdown. Sonny sees proof that Kristina is alive when he catches a glimpse of her on the webcam Faith set up. Alexis accepts that she needs two weeks of bed rest to avoid further risk to her pregnancy. Carly gets stuck in a stalled elevator, where she learns that Alexis is pregnant.

Sonny obeys Faith's orders and ends up walking into a trap. Jason and Sam find new evidence. Alexis is shocked when she finds out Faith is suspected of kidnapping Kristina. Courtney isn't given an option and must allow Rachel to move in with her. Durant has found out the truth about Steven's past with Rachel.

Sonny receives proof that Faith kidnapped Kristina and then asks Justus for help. Sonny's plan doesn't work out. Carly lets Durant to watch Michael and Morgan. Carly discovers something terrifying. Jason and Sam find out that Sonny's family is in more danger. Luke enters Lucky's room disguised as a police officer. Emily is haunted by memories of Connor raping her as she visits Nikolas. Rachel keeps making Courtney's life miserable.

Someone shoots Justus while he and Sonny are making the ransom drop. Sonny and Jason find out that Michael and Morgan have been kidnapped. Sonny holds himself responsible for Michael and Morgan's kidnapping and believes he'll never see his children again. Carly cries in Alcazar's arms. Reese observes Sonny as he loses control of his emotions. Jason and Sam discover a potential lead to Faith's whereabouts. Alcazar offers to help Reese.

Alexis lashes out at Sonny as Jason and Sam arrive with a possible lead on Faith. Jason shares his information with Reese at Sonny's request, but he and Sam later follow up on another clue on their own, which takes them to Louisiana. Reese thinks that Durant might have helped Faith kidnap Michael and Morgan but Carly and Ric don't agree. Sonny angrily confronts Durant. Faith is keeping Michael, Morgan and Kristina in a house in Louisiana that's surrounded by swampland.

Justus stabs Faith in the back and pushes his call button as she asks him to run away with her. Faith briefly takes Brook Lynn hostage while she's escaping from the hospital. Carly keeps Sonny from doing Durant bodily harm. Reese begs Sonny to trust her with helping him bring his children home. Faith informs Ric it's his fault that she's kidnapped Kristina. She then hits him with her gun. Reese is afraid that Sonny's having a nervous breakdown.

Sam and Jason find out where Micheal, Morgan, and Kristina had been held, but they were already gone. Faith escapes from General Hospital after fighting with Sonny and Alexis in the stairwell. Emily tells Nicholas she wants a divorse. Lucky wakes up from a coma.

Micheal called Sonny on a cell phone Friday and before he could tell Sonny where he was, you hear a gunshot. Sonny fears that Faith has killed Micheal. He smashes a window and purposly cuts his hand on a piece of glass. Ric fears that Faith took the kids to get back at him for using her when he knew she loved him. Lorenzo tells Jason where to find William Peavy, Faith's assistant. Sonny, Jason and Reese go to Peavy and hold him at gunpoint until he tells them where Faith is. They all go to an abandoned church. In the church they search the rooms but don't find any kids. There is a shootout between the two groups and Faith is shot.

Lorenzo arrives in Louisiana. Faith is rushed to the hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound. Jason finds a muddy shovel in the church and fresh mud on Faiths shoes. Courtney asks Rachel if an apology from Steven would make her change her mind about killing him. Emily tells Lucky about wanting to get a divorce from Nicholas. Jax and Courtney go off on a romantic get away. Rachel confronts Steven, who refuses to apologize to her for letting her take full responsibility for losing a patient years ago. Rachel calls in Bridgette and offers her some money, in exchange she has to do something for her. Back at the church, forensic crews find Tire tracks and Kristina's foot prints in the mud. They also find Michaels blood in one of the churches rooms.

Rachel asks Bridgette to steal some meds off the med cart at general hospital. She does and then calls Courtney. Since Courtney is away from Jax, Rachel calls him asking for help. She has gotten her big toe stuck in the faucet while she was taking a bath. Courtney makes Bridgette return the meds, and returns to her apartment to find Rachel and Jax together on the couch drinking whine and talking. In Louisiana, Detective Reese gets a call about 2 young kids about to get on a plane. The kids were going to be taking to a foster family in Arizona. Everyone arrives at the airport just in time to catch them. It was Morgan and Kristina but no Micheal. In the hospital Lorenzo talks to Faith right after she regain conciseness. She tells him that she shot and killed Micheal then dumped his body in the swamp.

Kristina is examined back at General Hospital. She is fine. Faith is transported to General Hospital. Sonny wants to kill her and lurks in the hall with a gun, but Jason stops him. Lorenzo tells Carly what Faith said about killing Micheal. Carly breaks down and cries. Detective Reese has search teams looking through the swamps, but no one has found any evidence that Faith killed Micheal. Sam confronts Justus and Luke, asking them if they knew anything about Faith that could help them find Micheal. They both say no. Emily tells Monica, Edward and Alan about Micheal. Reese and Jason decide to interrogate Faith, Reese leaves Jason alone to try and get some answers. He starts to strangle her, and she tells him the same thing she told Lorenzo, that she had killed Micheal and dumped his body in the swamp. Sonny and Carly take Morgan home and Sonny sits and looks at Michaels toys. They talk and agree that he has to still be alive. Sonny asks Luke to come and talk to him, he asks for transacti

Justus catches Faiths confession on a recorder. He lets Mac hear it, then when Faith tells Mac that Justus tried to smother her, he is asked to leave the room. Mac himself asks Faith where Micheal is, she tells him he's dead. Luke gives Jason the transfer records from Faiths account. Skye tells Detective Reese and Ric that she broke Faith out of Pentonville alone. They both know that Luke helped her, but Skye begs them to leave him out of it. Lorenzo and Carly go to a church and pray for Micheals safe return. Jason and Sam start looking through the files Luke gave them.

Alan holds Jason responsible for Michael's death, but Durant blames Sonny. Ric and Alexis tell Faith that she's likely to get the death penalty. Ric and Alexis unite when Faith threatens to destroy their marriage and Ric's career. Sonny, Carly, and Jason are certain that Michael's alive. Jason discovers proof that Faith was paid to kidnap Michael, Morgan, and Kristina. Faith publicly announces that someone paid her to kidnap the children, but she's shot before she can name her accomplice.

Faith is rushed to the hospital after being shot, still unconscious. Jason and Reese look for the sniper who shot Faith. Reese believes Alcazar has something to do with Faith's shooting and arrests him. Steven offers Jason a possible clue about the sniper. Durant accuses Sonny of shooting Faith and of giving Carly false hope that Michael's alive. Faith wakes up long enough to give Sonny a little bit of information.

Before Faith can tell Sonny anything more, she dies. Reese drags Alcazar to the police station, where he insists to Carly that he's innocent as far as the kidnappings go. Carly believes Alcazar's claim that he had nothing to do with it. Sonny grows angry at Carly for believing Alcazar. Ric and Jason start suspecting that Alcazar is telling the truth. Jason and Reese locate the gunman who shot Faith, but Jason shoots him dead in an act of self defense.

Sonny, Carly, and Jason receive the devastating news. So do their friends and family. Courtney persuades Jax that she doesn't want Jason, she wants him. Alcazar is touched by Diego's gesture. Dillon feels guilty for helping Faith escape from prison. Alexis is concerned and notices that something is bothering Emily.

Carly doesn't listen to Durant when he suggests that she and Morgan sever ties with Sonny and enter the Witness Protection Program. Durant pleads with Reese to use the information she learned during the kidnapping investigation to destroy Sonny. Carly sees how good Sam is for Jason. Dillon and Georgie act on gut instinct. Diego and Alcazar become closer. Emily is able to give comfort to Alan.

Reese starts her new assignment: gathering evidence to use against Sonny. Alcazar tries to console Carly as she prepares for Michael's memorial service. Carly tells Jason she fears Sonny will never recover from Michael's death. The Quartermaines set aside their disagreements and attend Michael's service. Jason confides to Sam that he can't stop searching for Michael. Dillon and Georgie don't regret making love, but Dillon still feels guilty for helping Luke break Faith out of prison.

Sam admits to Reese that Jason still hopes that Michael is alive. Michael has indeed survived the plane crash. Skye confronts Luke for being a rapist and thinks he's a damaged person. Skye admits to Luke that he's too destructive for her. Luke feels tortured inside after she says goodbye. Durant insists that Reese find the evidence needed to send Sonny to prison. Carly asks Alcazar what he would do if he were in Sonny's place. She's unsettled by his response.

Alcazar tells Carly that if he were in Sonny's position, he'd kill all his enemies. Luke persuades Skye he's leaving town, but he really has no intention of doing so. Luke kisses Skye goodbye. Skye asks Carly to step in and convince Sonny not to kill Luke. After talking to Reese, Sam's afraid that Jason will be caught if he kills Luke after having warned Carly of the fact.

Skye persuades Luke to leave town. Rachel clearly warns Courtney that she's a threat to Jax. Sonny wonders whether Reese will use what she knows against him.

Turning to Sonny for help flusters Reese. Sonny searches Reese's room. Alcazar comforts Carly as they become closer. Alexis and Ric's date doesn't go like they thought it would. Lucky moves into Wyndemere, and Emily has a bad reaction when Skye brings Lucky a letter from Luke. Elizabeth notices Lucky comforting Emily. Skye promises she'll keep Dillon's and Georgie's secret. Bridget grows angry when Diego ignores her.

Alcazar supports Carly as she mourns Michael. Sonny casts doubts on Reese's actions. Sonny is rattled when Ric and Alexis can't be found. He then has Kristina, Carly, and Morgan brought to his house. Carly believes Sonny is overreacting but Reese thinks his concerns are justified. Reese tells Durant that she's working on a plan to bring Sonny down. Ric wakes up and frees himself from the wreckage.

Sam reaches out to Jason and isn't pushed away. Georgie and Dillon locate Ric and Alexis. Ric and Alexis are relieved when they learn at the hospital that the baby survived the accident. Alexis leaves to confront Sonny after she agrees to spend the night in the hospital. Reese and Sonny think the hit-and-run accident could have been caused by Sonny's enemies. Carly tells Sonny not to trust Reese. Reese grows angry at Durant for believing Sonny arranged Ric's and Alexis' accident.

Jason keeps Emily from shooting the two men threatening Sam. Jason sends Emily home, then explains to Sam he's going to tell the police he pulled the gun on the thugs and that Emily was never there. It dawns on Jason that he's responsible for the attack on Sam. Emily explains to Lucky what happened at Kelly's and confides that Connor raped her. Emily grows angry as she realizes Lucky already knew about the rape. She then leaves to confront Elizabeth.

Reese separately appeals to Jason, Ric, and Carly in an attempt to stop Sonny from attacking his enemies. Ric says that Reese has fallen for Sonny. Carly notices how easily Sam fits into Jason's world. Carly and Sam make plans for the playground's groundbreaking ceremony. Jason tells Sam that she's given him a reason to live. Jax tries to manipulate Rachel.

Sonny and Jason stick to their plans for revenge. Reese has a warning to give to Sonny. Jax wants to question Courtney regarding Rachel. Steven fails to satisfy Rachel. Ric assures Alexis that he's taking Kristina to the playground dedication. Jason gets alarming news as his plan with Sonny begins to unfold.

Sonny carries out his plan to eliminate the Sandoval family. Durant believes he'll be able to prove Sonny is responsible for the shootings. Rachel is severely wounded during the shootings at the Metro Court, but Jax and Courtney emerge unscathed. Sam informs Courtney that Jason risked everything to save Courtney's life at the restaurant.

Reese feels betrayed and sets out to connect Sonny to the shootings. Reese tells him so. After being confronted by Carly, Alcazar explains why he's keeping Maria quiet about what she saw and heard. Diego feels that something is troubling Maria. Carly interrupts Reese as she's questioning Maria. Later on Reese confronts Maria again. Jason wants to know every detail of Michael's death in order to give himself closure.

Reese is ready for a fight with Sonny but receives another surprise instead. AJ keeps playing mind games with Michael. Stan has information for Jason regarding Michael. Courtney informs Jax the truth about Rachel. Ric won't back Alexis' plan to get full custody of Kristina. Alan makes a confession to Ric and Alexis after speaking with Emily.

Sam and Jason look at the picture of the 'dead' Michael on Jason's laptop and Jason becomes convinced Michael is still alive when he notices that his eyes aren't completely closed, and his pupils aren't dilated. Ric tries to play peacemaker with Sonny, but when Alexis and Sonny run into each other, they can't keep the claws from coming out. Steven and Mac worry about Rachel's condition, especially since she hasn't woken up yet, as Courtney and Jax search lawyer Martin Roth's office for information.

Sonny must agree to a court ordered psychiatric evaluation. Later he warns Ric that he's going to take Kristina away from Alexis. Carly approaches Alexis after learning she's filing for sole custody of Kristina. Carly will stop at nothing to help Sonny beat Alexis. Alexis asks Reese to testify against Sonny at the evaluation.

Sonny and Alexis receive their psychiatric evaluations. The judge dismisses Alexis' appeal and allows Sonny continued access to Kristina. Alexis warns Sonny she'll stop at nothing to keep Kristina away from him. AJ comes across the letter Michael wrote to Carly. AJ convinces Michael that he gave the letter to the postman, but then destroys it without Michael's knowledge.

Reese tells Carly that she once had a son who was kidnapped and murdered. Jason and Sam set out to investigate Faith's dealings in the Bahamas. Jax and Courtney reason that AJ and Rachel could have been involved, and that Rachel had her own motives for killing AJ. Carly tells Courtney that she thinks Michael is trying to tell her something and that she's failing him.

Sonny makes the wrong conclusion about Reese but Carly later sets him straight. Sonny notices that Alan's drunk and acting very ungentlemanly towards Reese.
