It's Melanie's birthday, and Phil tells her that he is serious about her. Sonia finds out Pauline is taking her to court over custody of Chloe. Ashley seeks revenge on behalf of Nick.

Mark tells Ashley that Nick killed someone on the Square. Later, Nick asks Ashley if he'll help him get back at Mark. Phil watches a video of Ben and Lisa feels jealous.

Ian receives a letter from Kathy and winds Phil up about its contents. Nick's hold over Ashley is tested to breaking point. Lisa lashes out in frustration after Phil is reminded of his past.

Lisa suffers when Phil finds the destroyed tape and goes berserk. Nick urges Ashley to carry out his revenge. Janine walks out of her job in the café.

A visit to Chloe shows Martin the real meaning of fatherhood, Laura struggles to make a new start, and Peggy has some unexpected advice for Lisa.

Terry is horrified by Janine, and Phil reluctantly goes for a drink on his 40th birthday at Peggy's behest.

The Slaters are trying to work out who Kat's new man is. Beppe and Jack argue over Joe. Garry gives Zoe a driving lesson. Lisa tells the doctor that she is pregnant.

Barry is not amused as Pat returns to Albert Square. Meanwhile, Doctor Trueman tries to keep his relationship with Kat quiet.

Barry devises a dastardly plan which he hopes will determine his father's future, but Roy is having none of it. Mo tells a horrified Audrey whom her son is dating. Audrey confronts Anthony. Barry keeps Roy in the pub. Beppe picks up Pat. Roy finds out she's leaving and persuades her to stay.

It's Kat's first day at the Vic as Melanie's hen night is underway and Jim does a strip tease! After a tense stag night ruined by an unwelcome guest, Steve hears some news which threatens to change everything. Steve teases Billy that his mobile never rings. Billy rings himself from the office phone but Steve rumbles him and thinks he is very sad. Dan threatens Billy in E20.

It's Melanie and Steve's wedding day and everything comes to a head with the arrival of an unwelcome and an uninvited guest at the register office. Lisa is devastated when Phil tells Mark that she begged him to take her back. Dan shows up demanding money from Phil and, later, Phil and Ian fight in the street after Phil tells Ian that Melanie was not as good in bed as Kathy.

Phil's future hangs in the balance as the police ask questions.

Barry's plans to save Roy from himself backfire, while Kerry's mysterious visitor leaves Robbie devastated. Phil tells the police he does not know who shot him. Audrey tells Anthony to invite Kat for tea tomorrow.

Roy gives Barry an ultimatum. Kat has to watch what she says when she goes for tea with Anthony's mum. Jamie continues to worry about Phil. Janine holds a party where Kerry leaves with Darren. Jamie announces to the Vic customers that Phil has put him in charge of everything.

Peggy isn't happy at all with what she finds on her return to the Queen Vic, while Barry incurs Natalie's displeasure when he forgets a very important date.

Desperate for positive news about the identity of the gunman, Jamie approaches the police, but is aggravated by their patronising attitude and finally lashes out at Billy. Laura tries to help Beppe with Joe, but only provokes him further when he spots her talking to Sandra.

Joe is knocked over by a car. Dan offers Jamie 'protection' as he juggles the businesses. Peggy questions Billy about his black eye.

Jamie's trouble with Dan take a sinister turn for the worse. Accusations fly as Beppe, Sandra and Jack confront each other over custody of Joe. Jim suggest to Dot that they live together. Dot is against the idea as they are not married.

Jamie reveals the results of Dan's threats and Sonia puts their relationship at risk again. Jim lands himself in trouble trying to prove that Dot's new alarm is a waste of time.

Steve and Melanie return to the Square and get an explosive reception, and Terry is shaken by some bad news.
