Mark is determined that Michelle shouldn't be let into the family secret - but Pauline has other ideas. at finds Frank has been hiding his business financial problems from her and that £11,000 in taxes is owed over the past year. Arthur tells Pete that him and Pauline have decided that he must move back into his flat at Walford Towers.

It is the day of the auction of Pizza Margherita and Ian is determined to buy the place. Phil gets frustrated by Grant's lack of work at the Arches. Sam wants Ricky to talk to Frank about them living at flat 23A.

Arthur, Frank, Martin, Pete and Phil all head off to the canal side to fish for the day. Pauline invites Rachel over to Number 45 to ask how she can help Mark. Hattie cries over Steve.

Sharon has the unpleasant task of telling Pete about who the buyer of the Mitchells' flat really is. Frank's visit from the VAT man doesn't go well and he ends up owing £3,000. Arthur has been avoiding Mark as much as possible.

Pete fears what Kathy's reaction will be when she learns that Willmott-Brown has returned. Arthur is still horrified that Mark has HIV. Sam and Ricky settle into their new squat at 23A Albert Square.

As James Willmott-Brown returns to the Square, family rally around Kathy to support her. Meanwhile, Mark goes to visit Gill and Pete gets drunk in the Vic.

Neither Kathy nor Pauline have opened the café and Pete begins to worry. Mark fails to turn up at work on time for Ian for the second day in a row, so he plans to sack him. Rachel supports Kathy.

Ian does not think Pete should use violence on Willmott-Brown, but Pete has other ideas. Grant buys a gift for Sharon and Kathy prepares to meet Willmott-Brown.

Willmott-Brown receives a visit from Kathy and later has a confrontation with Pete.

Kathy receives another cassette tape. Clyde's plans for a night in with Michelle are cancelled so that he can help out at the Vic in Sharon's absence. Pete gets revenge on Willmott-Brown.

Ian gets a brewery driver to park on Turpin Road to stop any vans getting to Pizza Margherita. Sharon is annoyed at Grant for going out for the whole night and also letting Roly out too. Kathy receives lilies from Willmott-Brown.

Gill unexpectedly arrives at Number 55 to see Mark. Grant and Sharon are not talking following yesterday's argument. Willmott-Brown gets an injunction against Pete. Kathy soon learns why and is unimpressed.

A dramatic confrontation erupts which will change the lives of those involved.

Whilst Grant dreams of starting a family, Sharon informs him that she intends to make a go of the Vic first. Willmott-Brown has left the Square, and Michelle sees his flat is now empty. Hattie invites herself over to Ricky and Sam's squat for a meal.

Michelle is in good spirits. Grant is concerned when a phone number for a man falls out of Sharon's coat pocket. Mark returns to the Square to see Rachel and let her know he is moving in with Gill for the time being.

As Michelle learns that Mark is HIV positive, she goes to talk to him about it, and then pushes Pauline and Arthur to get over it. Ricky surprises Sam with a new Golden Labrador puppy which irritates Frank. They then decide to name it Frankie, after him. Clyde's actions shock his father. Arthur lands a gardening contract with Christine Hewitt.

Mrs Hewitt gets to know Arthur a bit better. Pauline tries phoning Mark at Gill's flat but cannot get through to her. Celestine and Etta plan a family party for some relatives who are recently engaged, but they struggle to persuade Hattie and Lloyd to attend.

Arthur is the hero of the day. Ian tries to clear the air with Hattie. Sharon is unhappy with the company that Grant is keeping. Ricky decides to sell his camper van for £80 scrap to raise some money.

Michelle starts to come to terms with Mark's diagnosis. Pauline is delighted when Pete and Big Ron finish installing her new kitchen. Ricky and Sam have a party in the squat.

The Mitchell brothers go out on a stag night, and romance might be in the air for Phil. Pat gets an urgent phone call for help from Lorraine, whilst Frank panics about their financial situation. Pete comes to Ricky and Sam's rescue.

The squat is flooded with water, abruptly waking Ricky and Sam. Pauline has a game of darts with Pete at the Vic, determined to celebrate their birthday in style and not let Arthur get to her. Pat visits Lorraine in hospital.

Frank braces himself for a meeting with the bank manager whilst arguing with Pat over Mandy staying at the B&B. Sam takes Mandy to the squat, where they get to know each other. Mark buys Gill a shirt and gets along well with Arthur at the allotments.

Grant winds Phil up over Anne and then visits Frank to consider purchasing one of his motors, as he has heard that he needs to sell it pronto. Grant offers Frank £2500 for his Mercedes. Mandy visits Hattie and Sam at the squat and arrange a girls' night out, but Hattie ends up not going because her parents would disapprove.

Mandy intends to go and visit her mum in hospital but is advised against it by Pat. Phil and Anne are getting on well again. Grant asks Frank if he has considered his offer of £2,500 for his motor. Frank turns it down.

Grant gives Frank a new offer for the car he wants to buy off him. Frank tells him he will consider his offer. Mandy, Ricky and Sam move Mo's furniture into the squat. Pauline meets with Gill and begs her to dissuade Mark from leaving.

Etta is shocked to see Lloyd getting up to no good with his friends. Frank moans to Pat about keeping the B&B again. Phil drowns his sorrows with alcohol and Sharon worries when takings start falling at the Vic.

The recession is causing the Square's residents to make tough decisions to stay afloat, as Frank reluctantly tells Dot he has to let her go from her cleaning job at the B&B, and Sharon cuts all the bar staff's overtime at the Vic, disappointing Pat, Michelle, and Clyde.

Frank decides to do some DIY on the B&B because they cannot afford a builder. Mandy receives post from her mum. Rachel applies for a new job but is not accepted.

Celestine and Etta create friction with Clyde when they make it clear he should not be with Michelle. Pat is mortified when Frank tells her of the new amount they owe the tax man.

Ricky searches for Frank, wanting to know why the houses have been sold. Ian is asked to cater for the Vic again by Grant. He turns him down. Hattie hears the conversation and has an idea.

Steve is interested in the Vic's contract, whilst Ian tries to undercut his prices. Gill does things in a different way that she hasn't done before. Dot plans to make a Passover meal for her friends.

It is the day of the Miss Queen Vic's 1992 beauty competition, but Frank does not want Pat taking part as he thinks that she is too old!

Dot has a meeting with a lawyer about Nick's case. Frank is forced to take the door off of Number 18 so that he and Mark can get the furniture out of the house. Grant and Phil tamper with the new brewery's beer behind Sharon's back.

Things do not go smoothly for Frank and Pat as they prepare to move out of the B & B. Arthur is nervous as he gets ready to interview potential new gardeners to join the business. Jules has words with Lloyd about recent events.

Pat has spent the night at the squat with Ricky and Sam. Janine proves difficult for Frank. Jonathan starts working alongside Arthur on the Square.

Gill and Mark settle on the Square. Rachel finds working for Pauline challenging. Pat returns and is riled when Frank has failed to find them a new home.

Grant wants Sharon to come off the pill so that they can begin trying for a baby. Clyde, Pat and Michelle all worry for their jobs after a cutback on hours. Arthur and Jonathan enjoy working together.

Jules learns of Celestine's promotion and his and Etta's potential move to Norwich. Frank is determined to get some alone time with Pat at Number 25. Mark nurses Gill who has a terrible headache.

Etta continues to worry about a missing Lloyd. Dot supports an upset Ethel, who has to go back to the vets to see Willy.

Ian entertains an important business client and his wife, but who will he find to be his dinner date? Frank finally gets the keys to the Butchers' new home, but first Pat sets him a daunting task.

Ian phones the escort company and tries to get hold of Debbie but is unable to. Frank gets Dot to clean the flat, much to Pat's annoyance. Celestine tells Etta about Lloyd's latest troublesome act and that the job in Norwich is his.

Gill ends up having to go into hospital. Hattie points out to Ian that he still appears unhappy despite having so much money. Jules gives his opinion on Celestine's determination to move to Norwich.

Steve continues to be distant with Hattie. Doctor Atkins has some news for Gill, whilst Clyde and Michelle take Vicki and her friends to the bowling alley for her birthday party.

Rachel reassures Pauline she will look after the café until she returns. Hattie and Sam talk about Sam's modelling future. Etta finally comes round to the idea of moving to Norwich and hands her notice in at the school.

Mark is in a mood, finding it unfair that Gill has weeks to live. Gill suggests they decorate the squat but Mark snaps at her idea. Pat decides she wants to open a taxi firm. Frank supports her idea.

Lloyd sees the advantages of his new future. Meanwhile, Grant appears edgy and Phil is shocked when he reveals what he is up to.

Christine has some explanations for Arthur, and Pete is concerned she has made herself at home at the Fowlers'. Ian tells Kathy that he picked up a prostitute.

Pete tries talking to Arthur about his kiss with Mrs Hewitt but Arthur avoids the conversation. Sharon is paranoid the police will return to the Square Pat receives a phone call from a customer wanting to use her new taxi service.

Ricky wakes up, hungover and unable to face Sam. Michelle checks in on Mark and wonders if they should start considering a hospice. Dot confides in Jules about her worries for Nick.

Mark and Gill are over the moon at how their day has turned out.

Mark and Gill are all loved up but it isn't set to last.

Sam is delighted that Mandy has returned. Frank chooses the return favour he wants from the Mitchells. Pat continues the cab company. Ian proposes a deal to Steve.

Mandy continues her unsuccessful job search. Mrs Hewitt visits Pete to see if they are still on for a drink at the Vic in the afternoon. Hattie plans a romantic date for her and Steve.

Romance is in the air for Ricky but Sam is looking elsewhere.

Pat is determined not to let Frank stand in the way of her independence - but Ricky pays the price. Michelle is on tenterhooks as she awaits the results of her first year exams.

Michelle considers giving up college and just working behind a bar for the rest of her life. Mark returns to the Square following a visit to Gill's family in Yorkshire. Mandy asks Steve to fix the stereo in the squat.

A day at the races, but Arthur's not invited. Ricky decides to tell Mark that Mandy was going through his private belongings.

PatCabs needs another driver. Rachel and Kathy grab some bargains at the jumble sale. Michelle gets a job offer. Sharon is impressed with Grant's hard work at the Vic.

Mandy tries to persuade Mark to let her stay in the squat. Ian's dishonesty catches up with him. Arthur plays detective to track down his garden gnome.

Michelle relies on Clyde to help her when she attends a college interview to decide her future. Grant is in a touchy mood. Mark feels guilty when he sees what has happened to Mandy.

It is Martin and Michelle's birthday, and whilst Arthur plans a party for Martin, Sharon plans a surprise one for Michelle. Grant is furious with what Sharon has to tell him.

Mandy hassles Pete to get a job. Dot makes a shocking discovery. Frank makes plans for the café and Sharon is left to run the pub alone.

Phil and Sharon wonder where Grant has got to. Mandy wants to take Sam shopping. Pat is not pleased about Frank's plans for the café.

Mandy continues to pocket money from the fruit and veg stall. Grant returns and argues with Phil about Sharon. Meanwhile, Rachel is proving unpopular with the market stall holders.

Mrs. Hewitt returns to the Square to see Arthur. Hattie has locked her keys in the Meal Machine and cannot find Ian anywhere. Sharon cries to Michelle over Grant and her relationship.

Hattie and Clyde are shocked when they discover that Jules has been mugged. Arthur tries to distract himself from Christine. Grant gives Sharon flowers and promises her a romantic meal to make up for his recent behaviour.

Sam has a job interview and is nervous. She wears the dress Mandy stole for her. Arthur confides in Kathy about a letter he receives from Christine. Rachel has a busy day on the stall.

Rachel has to deal with some unsatisfied customers. Ian introduces Pete and Kathy to Ronnie. Dot helps Jules recover after the mugging.

Ricky prepares for his results in his City & Guilds. Kathy has doubts about Ian's relationship and vents them to Pete, but he does not take her seriously. Sharon has problems with the electricity at the Vic.

Sharon wakes up in an empty bed once again - Grant has stayed out all night. Mark learns that Michelle has been stood up by Clyde and offers to stand in his place, so she is not alone for the whole evening.

After Phil sleeps with Sharon, they have to deal with the aftermath and the possibility that Grant will discover what has happened. Phil makes it clear that he is willing to tell Grant, but when the moment comes, Sharon decides to choose Grant rather than Phil.

Grant is feeling optimistic after a good night with Sharon, who is secretly fighting with her conscience. Ricky gets upset when he feels like Sam is pushing him away. Nigel tries flirting with Rachel.

Dot and Ethel get dressed up to go to Evergreen Hotel for a tea-party and dance. Phil escorts them. Mandy helps Sharon out at the Vic and steals a bottle of alcohol in the process.

Sharon sits alone in the Vic in a contemplative mood. Ian has a new motor and is keen to show it off to Ronnie. Pat takes Sam to her modelling agency.

Ian hastily gets pest control in to deal with the cockroaches. Nigel moves into Dot's house and is convinced he can get her wrapped around his little finger. Hattie starts having man troubles.

Kathy allows Mandy to look after the café whilst she goes out. Arthur and Michelle go to a caravan park with Martin and Vicki. Ian accuses Hattie and Steve of telling businesses about his cockroach infestation.

Arthur and Pauline catch-up at Leigh-on-Sea. Grant suggests that Sharon goes to see Phil in hospital, but she does not want to go. Tricky Dicky invites Rachel out to the dog races.

Phil leaves hospital and questions Sharon on why she did not visit him whilst he was in there. Rachel has had enough of her mother and Ricky receives an eviction letter.

The squatters worry as time almost comes for them to be evicted. Rachel asks Tricky Dicky for a stall on the market. Sharon agrees to the idea of booking male strippers for a night at The Vic.

Frank lets Ricky and Sam stay with him, Pat and Janine until they find somewhere else to live. Phil considers moving out of the Vic but is stopped by Grant. Mandy and Mark return from their morning away from the Square.

A knock at the door wakes the residents at the Vic. Arthur and Pauline worry about whether Mark slept with Mandy or not. Frank is not keen on the male strip night at the Vic and plans to entertain the customers there in the evening with a surprise.

Pauline remains adamant she will not apologise to Kathy. Michelle cannot look at Phil in the same way after Sharon's confession. Grant's associates turn up to discuss the job with him.

A storm hits Albert Square, but it does not stop Pete and the market traders from continuing with business. Sharon tries talking to Phil, but he will not listen. Mark learns that Arthur has arthritis.

Arthur, Ian, Hattie and Nigel observe the remains of a fire which broke out in the community centre the previous night. Frank visits Pauline to talk about the café but ends up looking at photos from New Zealand. Grant is greeted to threats by Jason Cox, as some of his men want their £25,000.

Ian is reunited with Cindy. Grant's plan backfires. Sharon has a birthday party at Number 55.

Tricky Dicky's friendship with Rachel takes an unexpected turn and Kathy gets an unwanted guest. Meanwhile, a disaster at the pub shocks Albert Square.

Phil learns that Grant's desperate measures may not have solved their problem. Can the Queen Vic remain in business? Rachel confides in Michelle her true feelings for Richard.

Mandy finds the videotape that could destroy a marriage. Phil's got some bad news and sparks fly between Kathy and Pauline.

Frank tries to get to the bottom of the conflict at the café but is advised by Rachel to leave Kathy and Pauline to sort their own differences out. Mandy and Janine see the video footage of Arthur and Mrs. Hewitt kissing.

As redecorating work starts at the Vic, Grant and Sharon return from Brighton. Mandy sells a video to a shop on Turpin Road.

Clyde and Michelle discuss their relationship as Sharon and Grant go over theirs.

Mandy causes trouble for some of the Square's residents. Meanwhile, Ian goes to see Cindy again.

Mark receives a letter from Gill's family. Kathy talks to Ian about business help when she takes over the café, but Ian's mind is distracted with Cindy. Pauline starts thinking about Christmas.

Pauline is full of nerves as Arthur refuses to talk about Mrs. Hewitt's letter. Sharon is anxious as the Vic's new look prepares to open for the first time. Clyde and Michelle face an awkward shift together.

Mark annoys Arthur when he makes a comment about sorting his life out. Clyde comes face-to-face with Michelle and Vicki in the Square but refuses to talk to her. Ricky house hunts for him and Sam.

Mandy exaggerates about Kathy. Arthur and Pauline argue. Ian learns from Sue that Cindy split up with Simon six months ago.

Sharon begs Phil to talk to Grant for her as she does not want to lose the Vic. He agrees to see what he can do. Kathy visits Pauline to make sure she and Arthur are okay. Ian admits to Cindy that he still cares about her, but he is not the same person he was.

Mrs. Hewitt notices something is upsetting Arthur. He confides in her about his and Pauline's recent tension. Ian is in a worryingly good mood and lets Hattie and Steve off for the day.

Kathy throws Mandy out after hearing what she has been saying to people about her. Ian takes Cindy out and the carol singers practice in the Vic.

Hattie invites Steve to Norwich to spend Christmas with her family. Dot's carol service is thrown into jeopardy when Nigel claims to have a sore throat and a number of other singers pull out from illness. Meanwhile, Pat's business is booming.

Kathy is invited to the market traders ball with Tricky Dicky. Mark has the keys to his and Steve's new flat. Hattie tells Steve her family are happy to have him for Christmas. He upsets her after declining her offer to spend the holidays in Norwich.

Frank tries flogging Christmas stock onto unsuspecting residents. Arthur cannot decide what to get Pauline for Christmas. As Cindy returns to Albert Square, she is worried about being seen.

Mandy waits anxiously for a visit from her mother and is shattered when she doesn't turn up, while Sharon and Phil's perfect Christmas plans are erased when Ricky asks if he and Sam can spend Christmas at the Vic.

The preparations for the Christmas dinner is underway at the Fowlers' while Arthur makes a Christmas phone call to Christine. Frank comforts a shocked Pat after an unfortunate accident.

Ricky is determined to keep his marriage with Sam strong. Sharon is grateful for Phil's continued support in Grant's absence. Pat is overwhelmed with guilt from the driving accident and tries to distract herself, although it is to no avail.

Pat walks out of the hospital in a state of shock. Cindy packs her bags and leaves Ian again. Mrs Hewitt lays down some ground rules with Arthur about their affair.
